Tamnna’s Heartbeat: A Journey of Resilience, Community, and Love

When Tamnna, a 16-year-old girl from a humble home, came to us, she had already spent years battling a complex congenital heart condition. From hospital to hospital — from AIIMS to Tanda — her parents, Ashok and Kiran, were repeatedly told that treatment wasn’t possible. With limited resources and growing fears, hope was slowly slipping away.

But stories, when shared, have the power to move hearts.

One such moment of magic occurred when Dr. Abhay, after watching an online interview of UNI Charity, reached out and connected the family to us. With swift action and timely medical guidance, a door that once seemed firmly shut suddenly opened. What followed was nothing short of extraordinary.

With nearly ₹8 lakhs required for her treatment, UNI Charity took on the full financial responsibility — from diagnostics and surgery to post-operative care. When an urgent call for blood went out, Dr. Abhay helped UNI Charity find Tamnna’s heroes: students from Bhagat Singh College, Delhi, who stepped forward. Within hours, arrangements were made, thanks to our compassionate network of donors and supporters.

Tamnna’s surgery was a success.

She is the eldest among the 7 children UNI Charity has supported this year, and the 14th child whose life we’ve touched since our journey began. Each child has a different story. Each family faces its own uphill battle. But what remains constant is the urgency, compassion, and collective effort that carries them through.

From the resilience of her parents, to the doctors who believed in her chance, to every donor and well-wisher who stood by her — Tamnna’s story is living proof that when a community comes together, even the impossible becomes possible.

Because every child deserves not just a chance to live, but a chance to thrive.
