UNI Charity presents a candid and heartfelt interview with Dhruvika’s family. Dhruvika, our youngest warrior, bravely fought a heart disease at just four months old. Throughout the highs and lows of this journey, her family never lost hope and remained steadfast in their fight for her life.
In this conversation, they share the hardships they faced, including the challenges of low accessibility to medical care and the heavy financial burden of treatment. Despite these difficulties, they never gave up. They also shed light on the deep-rooted superstitions that are still prevalent in their village. Dhruvika’s family shared that many villagers advised them to visit shrines and temples instead of seeking proper medical attention. Some even discouraged them from pursuing treatment simply because Dhruvika is a girl.
Surrounded by such conservative thinking, Dhruvika’s family rose above every barrier to save their daughter. Their journey is a powerful reminder that where there is a will, there is a way.
UNI Charity stepped in to support Dhruvika’s treatment, and today, she is completely healthy. We express our deepest gratitude to Dr. Manish, the Chief Medical Officer of UNI Charity, for connecting us with Dhruvika and coordinating the entire process.
We also thank our team member, Siya Maheshwari, for conducting this meaningful interview with Dhruvika’s family. Most of all, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to the family for their unwavering support and trust.
We wish Dhruvika and her family all the very best for the future.
