Every heart in the UNI Charity team is filled with happiness and pride as we share the story of our youngest warrior – Dhruvika.
Dhruvika was just 4 months old when she was diagnosed with a large VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect) in her heart. Initially, she was taken to PGI Chandigarh, where unfortunately she could not receive effective treatment. As her condition worsened, she was referred to AIIMS Bilaspur. However, due to the lack of appropriate treatment facilities for infants, her parents found themselves stuck at a crossroads.
Dhruvika’s father, Mr. Lakhwinder, is a taxi driver and the sole breadwinner of the family. A kind-hearted individual at AIIMS Bilaspur referred the case to Dr. Manish, the Chief Medical Officer at UNI Charity. Dr. Manish became a beacon of hope for Dhruvika’s parents. He not only connected them with UNI Charity but also provided emotional support and counseling throughout the treatment process.
UNI Charity funded the entire medical expenses for the treatment. At just 4 months and 8 days old, Dhruvika underwent surgery and emerged as a young warrior, bravely overcoming all obstacles. Today, she is once again a happy, smiling, and cheerful baby with a bright future ahead.
We are immensely grateful to Dr. Manish Gupta Manish for his service and unwavering support to UNI Charity. While UNI Charity is rooted in Himachal Pradesh, it is committed to making quality medical care accessible to every child in need, across all regions. This is just the beginning—UNI Charity is here to heal hearts and change lives, one child at a time.
