UNI Charity is proud to share the heartwarming journey of 7-month-old Prashant, a brave little soul from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, diagnosed with a life-threatening heart defect — Transposition of the Great Arteries.
Born to daily-wage migrant workers, Prashant’s parents were overwhelmed by the gravity of the diagnosis and the cost of treatment. Referred to UNI Charity by Rotary Club Nerchowk, the family was initially skeptical, fearing false promises. But through compassion and clarity, we gained their trust and began the journey to save Prashant’s life. Local hospitals couldn’t manage such a complex case, so he was brought to Delhi, where his surgery was successfully conducted on 18th January 2025. UNI Charity provided 100% financial support — covering surgery, travel, and every other need.
This success wouldn’t have been possible without the support of incredible individuals. We extend heartfelt gratitude to Rajat Jain and a silent donor, whose swift help in arranging urgently needed blood during a critical phase was nothing short of life-saving. Your kindness is forever etched into Prashant’s story.
Today, Prashant is healthy, thriving, and home — a living example of what compassion and collective effort can achieve.
At UNI Charity, we don’t just fund treatment — we build trust, restore dignity, and fight for every child’s right to life. Thank you for standing with us. Let’s continue breaking the barriers that wealth or circumstance place on a child’s future.
