Ankita's Story: A Heartwarming Journey of Hope and Resilience

Updated: Feb 28

UNI Charity would like to share a story that is very close to our hearts

Ankita – a little girl with a smile so bright that it can light up anyone's day. Despite life’s challenges trying to dim her spirit, she faces every obstacle with unwavering bravery and determination. After losing her father to illness at a very young age, Ankita and her sister were raised by their grandparents in difficult circumstances due to financial hardship.

Uni Charity received a referral from Dr. Kunal Mahajan of the Himachal Heart Institute, as the patient's case was highly complicated, required urgent intervention, and could not be treated locally in Mandi.

She was diagnosed with a 38.5mm hole in her heart. Seeing her bright smile and unwavering dedication to achieve greatness in life, Uni Charity took it upon itself to fund her entire treatment, from the hefty hospital bills to the smallest bus fare.

Today, Ankita is perfectly healthy, spending her days in the mountains as the apple of her grandparents’ eyes and an inspiration to her sister, her village, and even to us. We wish her nothing but the best for her future and we hope her radiant smile continues to shine brightly.

UNI Charity remains committed to providing free treatment to children with heart disease, helping them live a brighter, healthier future.
